WOW! I’m impressed. This new y combinator startup has done something I dreamed up about 6 months ago. It’s an interactive activity tracker, based on users rather than on management.

ididwork.com allows anyone to keep track of their own activities, track progress, and generate reports based on that progress. Everything is tag based (as would be expected from any web2.0 y-combinator startup nowadays).

After viewing the initial video I can’t say it’s perfect. Actually I designed my own activity tracker called actablog, which is also user based, but the administration can assign activities as well. Groups can be formed per project, percentage per activity is allowed, reports are based on percentage, and well… quite a few things.

In my opinion ididwork does work well (no PUN intended), but needs a LOT more to stand out, and help users more with their activity tracking keeping it’s main function high: Being Simple. That’s one thing I admire of ididwork, it’s simple, and activity tracking is no longer a tedious task with this app.

Songs of the Day

I must recommend the album Far From Refuge from God Is An Astronaut. This is a very melodic album, some would maybe agree with me that the music is a bit like a combination between Sigur Rós and Explosions in the Sky. It is fully instrumental, all songs have a great equalization, impressive harmonies and use of drums.

What I like most about it is the way in which they start some songs very slow, very calm, very smooth, and grow steadily until they reach a complete blast. Although I have never been in the middle of a quasar, it certainly feels as if that word would be the appropiate description for the climax experienced in some of these songs.

I do think in some parts the music turned a bit dull, but I’d recommend you give it a listen and tell me what you think about it.

Coca-Cola’s bottled water is contaminated?

The topic about water has started to turn into a worrying one. It’s becoming more scarce every year, some places have a lot of difficulty in obtaining it. The large greedy coorporations and never-ending business thirst are obtaining and selling this natural resource, source of life, and a basic necessity for all living being.

I read several websites that inform the general public that there has been quite a few cases (even admitted by coca-cola) in which there was general concern about the state of some purified water bottles where fungi started to spread in the interior of the cap. They had to recollect all contaminated bottles from a city in Mexico and exchange them for newer ones. Similar cases have occured in other countries. All I ask of you is to be careful upon opening a bottle (of anything) and cleaning the cap (or can) very well.
