New Theme

I’ve decided to purchase a premium theme at last. After years of using free themes I decided it was the right time. My first thought was to buy Thesis, which is widely recommended by blogger Chris Brogan. However, I decided it was not exactly worth the amount of money, considering I blog just for fun and not because I expect to make a profit out of it.

Therefore I have chosen to pay for a yearly subscription to Elegant Themes, and have chosen Bold as my theme. I think it represents my website much better, as it is much easier to access recent posts, and get at what you want in an easier way. I’d like to hear your comments on it to know if it was really worth it or not. What do you think?

Remove background from image

This is one of the best Adobe Photoshop techniques I have found for removing the background from an image. Recorded by photoshoptalent.com.

Digital Polaroid?

The polaroid is back, just that it’s in digital form this time!

I remember my sister, who studies graphic design, quite worried quite a few months ago when she heard Polaroid would stop making film packs for it’s traditional “instant photo” cameras. No need to worry any more though:

Polaroid has announced that “it is introducing a digital camera that produces prints right on the spot. You can even call them “instant” prints, but they take nearly a minute to appear, so they’re only as “instant” as the old film prints” – Wired News.

It appears that the price tag for the item in the US will be of $200 USD.

You suck at Photoshop

This is a kind of warped-up strange partially humoristic tutorial for photoshop, I found it quite entertaining. It teaches you quite a lot of functions in photoshop dynamically throughout a set of videos (which can also be found on youtube.com).

In my honest opinion it seems quite crazy, but it’s really entertaining, and the guy is an interesting actor… The first few seem rather uncertain although as you reach further into every following chapter, you notice they get much more interesting, much more intense, etc.

The first video of the series can be located at: mydamnchannel

I mean, video #14 starts with the following phrase: MY name is donnie and you suck at photoshop… I.. I don’t have a lot of time.. right nn… nnow so you’re just going to trust me… you’re bad.

Heheh, check it out for more detail into the action ;)
