First Impressions: Ubuntu 9.04
Slick interface, much faster, a few more options here and there, and a faster boot-up. In general I think it looks quite similar (If at all they added a few more ‘themes’). Where you really notice the difference is in the “Engine”, oh, and the fact that it uses the EXT4 file system. First Impressions of Ubuntu 8.10
Great-looking, stable, fixes a few bugs I had found previously in 8.04, as far as I have noticed it is generally a bit cleaner, it does seem a tiny bit more sluggish though but I guess that must be related to the larger amount of code involved. Ubuntu 8.04… First impressions
Yeah, I know I’m late to the party, but I still had to give my own opinion on Ubuntu, as it’s the first time I try it out. Looks great, install was easy, a few things are much easier to use than in windows. It was faster to configure than ArchLinux.
