Pigeons in Glasgow City Centre

I went to Glasgow on the 9th for a short trip around the city centre and the northeast region. It was quite an enjoyable experience apart from the freezing wind. I liked the above photo of pigeons just before they emerged in flight.

Awaiting Sundown

I took this back in Edinburgh on my return the same day, over on the bridge that connects South Bridge with Princes Street. The bus stop gets quite crowded there some days, fortunately that day there was just a few people. The viewpoint of the picture is Holyrood, which is a beautiful hill with the highest peak at 200 metres. Gorgeous day indeed.

Internet Crisis

I lost internet connection that same day. Unfortunately I didn’t recover it until the 13th so it meant 5 days without a connection. It was nice at first, not having to worry about everything, but soon after I realised I needed a connection to finish some urgent tasks. So I started going daily to get connected in a pub nearby, it had a very bad connection (as pictured above) but at least it worked half the time, which is better than nothing at all.

I also enjoyed a nice Corona Extra, however, I noted that the flavour is quite different from the original ones in Mexico. I am curious as to whether the export version is different, or if the process of sending it across the Atlantic gives it a different taste in the end (you know, heating it up and all that).

I believe Corona Extra is brewed under licence, which means it probably hasn’t travelled any further than from Burton-On-Trent to the shop you bought it from. The recipe will be the same but the different water makes a surprising amount of difference.

A lot of beers taste better in their country of origin because of that, Grolsh in particular.

      Thanks for stopping by!

I was unaware of that, good to know. I have noticed the water tastes different depending on the place I visit. In Scotland in tastes different from England, which tastes different from distinct parts of Mexico. Hmm. I wonder if proximity to the sea has anything to do. Or maybe it’s just the pipes.
